My orchid really is looking like I'm going to have blooms! I feel like a proud Mom!

This project kind of got set aside as Derby took over my time for the past several weeks. I decided the top four blocks of the six block piece was taking on a separate life from the bottom two blocks so I took off the bottom two blocks and will use them in a separate project and I'm now much happier with the look of the piece. Sometimes projects just speak to me like that and I feel I must listen!

Someone asked me what the Queens hat looked like that she wore to the Derby. I tried to crop my picture I took of her so you could get a better look!

I love the way that bottom block looks! Really beautiful! Did you have to have a really telephoto lens to get that pic of the queen? I actually like her hat.

Very nice work. I have just discovered crazy quilting and am liking it. I just need to learn the stitches now.

Thanks everyone! The picture of the Queen is actually a picture of the television. I stayed away from the crowds this year and watched it on tv.
