Hearts 2 Round Robin

Over the years I've swapped hearts with many ladies on the internet and I've always wanted to do something with them. I recently joined a Round Robin on the CQI list entitled Hearts. I knew I wanted to use one of the hearts I had swapped I just needed to figure out how.

After several trial and error attempts I came up with this block. I'm really excited to send it out for the ladies to work on in the RR. I used a lot of swap fabrics also to make this truly a group block. Pat Winter pieced the heart and now five ladies will stitch around it. I plan to ask them to add as many pansies and dragonflies as they want!

Don't you think this is going to be a cool block?

When the block comes home I plan to use this gold to make the borders of the block.

FFT 1 - My Round Robin Block

My latest Crazy Quilted Round Robin Block has returned home! Don't you just love the excitement of opening up the package when you know what is inside! I really loved the colors of this CQ block and it was really hard to get true color pictures to show up online but after several attempts I found if I turned off the flash it showed up better than with the flash. As always you can get a closer look at the pictures by clicking on them and opening them to full size.

Many thanks to the ladies in the RR; Gerry, Peggy, Diane, Debbie and Cindy! What a beautiful block you have created for me.

Don't you just love all the different stitches and textures used on RR blocks. They are a great learning tool for the beginner and experienced stitcher.

Every corner has something beautiful to look at with one corner is left for me to stitch on. Thanks again ladies!

I was looking for some ideas to add to the RR block I'm working on and I found this block in the 'pile'. It has a few good seam treatments I think I will try on this block. It's great having all these blocks to refer to for ideas! Even better than looking at pages in a book.

Cindy's Block - Round Robin

I worked on Cindy's Bunny this round. It will be a really cute bunny when it returns home!

I worked on the mid-section of the back and the bottom of the front piece.

Peggy did the ears on the front and the back.

While putting together some fabric packs this past weekend I stumbled across a Round Robin block from 4 - 5 years ago. I never did anything with it ... LOL ... I have a lot of blocks just sitting in my UFO pile. Upon much reflection I decided it was calling out to me and so I picked it up and cut it into pieces.

"Yikes .... what have I done ... I asked myself ... look at all these small pieces!?" Slowly I picked up each piece and placed them on another piece of foundation fabric and starting putting these 'new' blocks together using some of the colors in the packages.

Sometimes I get excited by the color combinations I package up for others. Now I have all these great blocks. All I have to do is finish embellishing them and another project out of the UFO pile!
