October TIF Block

I picked the colors I liked in the October Palette. That's it!!! I'm caught up. I now have all my blocks ready to embellish.

September TIF

I'm all caught up with my blocks. This is what I pieced using the colors for September. Now I really have a big job ahead as I embellish all my blocks.

I hope to put a tree on this block. I remember one of my books has a pattern for a tree, I just have to remember which one. Anyone out there know which book it is in? Is it Judith Montano's or was it one of the other authors? Looks like a good reason to gather all my books and start looking through them.

August TIF Block

I made an attempt to catch up with a few of the blocks I missed in the Take It Further Challenge. Here is my August block. It will have to wait a bit for embellishing but I'll get to it soon.

Having all these blocks pre-made allows me to carry them along with me so I always have something to stitch on. I can get a lot of stitching done on my lunch hour.

September colors for TIF

Here are the colors that Sharon chose for the September Challenge Piece. Once again not colors I normally gravitate toward so the Challenge is working! My plan is to have the blocked pieced this week. I'm a little behind from all the excitement this month.

Progress Report on my blocks

I guess I should check into a hotel more often when I want to get some stitching done. Before I left for the EGA Seminar I threaded up 20 needles with various threads. My goal was to use up all the needles before returning home. It was great motivation and I always had a block or two in my bag with the threaded needles and when I was waiting to go some where or had a few extra minutes I pulled out a block and stitched away.

I'm always looking for tips to make my like easier and more productive. Leave me a comment and share your tips with me and I'll compile them all into one post for everyone to read!

Lunch time stitching

I had a few spare minutes today and I started stitching on a few blocks. This is Gerry's RR block and I still need to add to it but I got a good start.

I finally picked up my April TIF block and added another seam.

I found this really cool trim a couple of weeks ago and it fit great on my July block. I managed to accomplish a lot in a little amount of time.

August Colors, Colour Blindness Simulator

August colors ... these colors are going to be a challenge to find in my stash! LOL ... I didn't realize how much I would be challenging myself with Sharon's TIF challenge this year. It has been fun to branch out and try different color combination's I've never thought to use before. I'm enjoying the new combination's and look forward to what I can find in my stash to fit this group.

tool to import a picture and see what someone would see if they had some form of color blindness. Very interesting reading.

TIF Blocks

July is almost over! Where did the month go? I laid out my TIF Challenge blocks to see how they were coming along. Each one is started and a lot are almost complete. Will I be finished by the end of the year? Yes! that is my goal but I guess I better get to work if I'm to accomplish it.
