Lunch time stitching

I had a few spare minutes today and I started stitching on a few blocks. This is Gerry's RR block and I still need to add to it but I got a good start.

I finally picked up my April TIF block and added another seam.

I found this really cool trim a couple of weeks ago and it fit great on my July block. I managed to accomplish a lot in a little amount of time.

Gerry's RR Block

The last block in the RR has arrived at my house today. It is a small block so being last I don't have much space to work on but it is a really pretty block and I think Gerry will fall in love with it when she gets it home! I really like the bright, cheerful pinks and yellows in the block. I think I will have to make a block using these colors! Another combination to try out this year!

FFT Round Robin - Diane Miller's Block

Here are a few pictures of the latest RR block I worked on. It belongs to Diane Miller and it's coming together real nice.

I added the spider and web with the greenery along the top corner. I also did the pink cretan stitch along the edge and added the beads. I added the seam below using the same pink beads and thread to pull the area together. (You can see that seam below in the 'whole' block picture).

I stitched the button hole stitch around the pink circle and added the beads to match. I thought the seam below the gisha lady needed a little black to tie that area together so I did a black herringbone along the seam.

Here is a picture of the whole block. Looks pretty good!
