Putting together a block

I pieced this block using the traditional five sided center piece. Adding on to each side in a clock wise manner.

I used the sew and flip method to add additional pieces to the block.

Cutting each piece down to size before adding the next piece ....

... and always the most important step is to press each seam as I go ... it makes the block look a lot smoother when finished ... probably the most important step in piecing blocks.
