Good Mail Day!

I was so excited when I got home today as the UPS driver had paid me a visit. Look at all these yummy new batiks and dupioni silk pieces I ordered from Fabric.com.

I immediately thought about all the combinations I could make into a block just using the colors in the box, I can't wait to blend them into my stash and see what else I come up with.

I don't have a lot of navy and I found this piece and it goes great with the new yellow I got ...

...and this combination just jumps out and begs to be made into a block!

But I can't do too much with them now because I'm heading to the big quilt show in Nashville this weekend. I'm trying to do laundry right now and figure out what to pack. It will be a quick car trip (well 3 hrs. so that's not too bad). Looking forward to seeing whats new in the traditional quilting world. Sure hope to see a crazy quilt or two while I'm there.

I'll take notes and tell you all about it when I get home.

Oh, ho! You took advantage of the silk sale! Looks like you got some wonderful silks and batiks. I'm so glad to see someone else including batiks in their blocks. Someone started a rumor that they are hard to stitch, and it just isn't true! They are so cinchy for stitching through. Love your choices for that upcoming block. Have a great time in Nashville.
