It's Friday evening and my shelves are coming along! I'm heading out of town for a few days and when I get back I should be able to start loading up the shelves with fabric and books. They look great and I'm sure it won't take me long to fill them up!

While I'm away the guys will be working on another part of the house. In my living room I've got a lot of wasted space due to the closet (the only one in the house) bumping out into the living room. I'm having them remove the wall and make the bump out in the bedroom where I spend a lot less time. Hopefully when I return a lot will be accomplished.

All this construction should make the task of organizing and decluttering my life a lot easier. At least it is a step in the right direction.

I pieced a block to take on the road with me. I joined in a swap on one of my list and this will be the base of the needle case I'm going to make. I'm also taking both of my TIF challenge blocks to work on in the hotel room. Hopefully I'll finish a lot while in Dallas. It's a working vacation of sorts! Any Dallas readers out there? If so I'll be there tomorrow. I'm looking forward to my trip ... haven't been to Dallas for many years. At least it should be warm and dry! I'm really tired of the rain, ice and snow we have been getting for the last three weeks.

Oh, wow. I'm almost envious - but I won't be - you deserve it! I looked back at the 'before' and you will have tons of space for what's in the pics, plus more. Enjoy. Pretty block! I believe I have gotten that print in a fabric pack from you before... Be safe!

The shelving is fabulous. It looks so nice and pristine. I hope they are making the closet bigger, while they are at it, since it's the only one in the house!
