I recently blogged about a new book I had purchased titled "Crazy Shortcut Quilts" by Marguerita McManus and Sarah Raffuse. I was contacted by the Author and she offered to send me a sample of her technique.
I was happy to receive this great little sample because I could see how it was constructed and it makes it look so easy.

That was nice of her to send the sample for you. It's the same technique that Sharon Pederson has in her Reversible Quilt books. I think her second book also had instructions for doing this with curved blocks.
How's the second edge finished, Karen? I've seen this called "quilt as you go," and now from your sample I understand it. Interesting how she used decorative stitches also. Thanks for sharing.
That's an interesting looking technique. I hadn't thought about it with cq in mind.
This looks like an interesting idea Karen, especially for breaking that "blocky" effect on Crazy quilts when we sew blocks together
