Perhaps the most important step in my piecing process is to press the pieces after sewing them onto the block.

As I said earlier, I'm constantly auditioning as I piece. I try to think ahead a few pieces but also I let the block 'speak' to me and sometimes I change my mind as I piece.

I try to piece by going in a circle - clock wise - around a center piece. This is usually my focus fabric or in this case my silk print.

Here I go again ... auditioning the fabrics to see if I like the flow and color placements. My goal is to try and balance out the block by using each color or fabric several times.
