Debbie's block is ready to send on to Gerry this week. I dyed the butterfly to match ... it really looks better in person ... I think shades of purple are the hardest to photograph. They tend to come out a blue shade. I added the Silk Ribbon flower and the cretan stitch and bead seam between the butterfly and flower.

I also did a herringbone seam on the lower right of the block ...

and added the cretan stitch to both sides of the flower. I added the beads to the seam above the ribbon to help your eye flow around the block.

Nice stitching, Karen. Isn't it crazy how photographs distort colors sometimes? One of my grey knitting projects looked very blue in a photo, but generally I find that photos let you really "see" your work as others do. It's been a helpful tool.
