Don’t sweat the small stuff. I read this sage piece of advice today and decided there really is something to it.

Some of you may know I’ve been dealing with ear problems for the past two months and it has gotten very frustrating as I went from one Doctor to the next. I’m up to 4 Doctors in the past seven weeks and I think maybe we are on the road to conquering the problem at last. Yahoo!

During the process I have come to realize there are just so many things in life we have no control over and if I let it get me down I’d be miserable all the time. I decided to keep my mind on other things…and have had a very productive two months. I have finished two small projects, started a few more and actually plan to finish another before it’s time to go to Omaha.

I feel at peace with myself as I’ve learned to let go of the stress and except there will always be things I can’t change and if it’s really important then I will work toward changing it.

LOL…now my next challenge is to find a way to finish organizing my studio and package up more fabric packs to take to Omaha. I have come across lots of items I remember buying and thinking they were too special to use. This is really silly if you think about it.

So as I come across these items I’m setting them aside and promise to incorporate them into my next projects. They were meant to be used and will make the projects even more special when finished. Silly me … why didn’t I think of that before?

I just thought I’d pass on my thoughts this morning … as I chant my new motto... Don’t sweat the small stuff!

Hope you find an answer to your ear problem soon. Some times I think the more we worry the bigger the problem becomes perhaps we feed it. I also buy things to use and never do because they're too special it's silly isn't it. Good luck with the tidying and sorting. Cheers Annette

I needed to remember that this morning. We used to say it all the time in college, back in the 60s! It's so easy to forget, though.
