Reporting in on this Sunday night to let you know I am continuing my quest to step my way to better health and a little weight lose. I know I was getting discouraged last week because I didn't seem to be losing any weight. But after discussing this in length with others this week I think I'm on the right track.
I'm developing muscles and they weight more than fat. Some people even suggested that I should be gaining weight! NO ... I don't want to do that I said. But they assured me that since I'm not gaining then really I'm losing because I'm making up for the muscles I'm developed. Ha ... Sounds like it would be the opposite but not! Or so 'they' the experts say. So I won't give up walking and swimming yet!!
This week it rained 3 days. This totally messed up my walking but even with the rain I still managed to get 64,452 steps in along with 3 - 1 hour water aerobics classes. I hope to soon see some movement on the scales but if not I do know I'm feeling better just exercising. Yesterday and today I took a 4 mile walk both days and this is an accomplishment! I couldn't do that 3 months ago!
So thanks to all of you for motivating me and keeping me on track. I'm up for another week of goal setting stepping. 70,000 steps here I come!
